Legacy Property Management Platform Terms

Please review these terms carefully. Continued use of the platform means you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or accessing any service on the Legacy Property Management platform (“Legacy”, “we”, “us”), you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal authority to enter into these Terms of Use, and agree to comply with all applicable laws in South Africa and any other jurisdiction in which you use the platform.

2. Platform Roles

Legacy connects landlords, tenants, service providers, and administrators. Each role must use the platform only for lawful property management tasks, and must not misrepresent identity, ownership, or credentials.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials, enabling multi-factor options when available, and notifying Legacy immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts to protect user data or investigate suspicious activity.

4. Acceptable Use

  • No fraudulent listings, duplicate submissions, or misleading pricing.
  • No uploading malware, scraping data, or attempting to bypass security controls.
  • No harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory practices on messaging tools.

5. Listings, Payments & Services

Listing data must be accurate and updated promptly when a property becomes unavailable or pricing changes. Payment tools, invoices, receipts, and bank-transfer uploads must be used for legitimate transactions only. Legacy acts as a technology platform and is not a party to any lease or service contract between users.

Service providers warrant that they hold required licenses/registrations. Legacy may verify compliance or remove providers who receive repeated complaints or fail background reviews.

6. Data & Privacy

We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy (coming soon). You consent to email/SMS notifications for account updates, verification, invoices, and security alerts. We retain activity logs to detect fraud and maintain audit trails.

7. Intellectual Property

All platform content, brand assets, layouts, and custom software belong to Legacy Property Management. Users receive a non-transferable license to access the services. Automated copying or framing of our content is prohibited.

8. Suspension & Termination

Legacy may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, fail verification checks, or engage in behaviour that risks the platform or other users. You may delete your account at any time via support.

9. Disclaimers & Liability

Legacy provides technology “as-is” and does not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, property availability, or the conduct of any user. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Legacy is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Updates & Contact

We may update these Terms of Use to reflect changes in legislation, platform features, or business requirements. Material changes will be highlighted via email or an in-app notice. The latest version will always be available on this page.
